Personally, I have mixed feelings about this one. "Don't judge a book by its cover" is a VERY important lesson, particularly in a show called "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" which we all judged right away. On the other hand, I don't think the character of Zecora is as good as she should have been. Her rhymes did get old and irritating far too quickly (think Paradox Brothers from Yu-Gi-Oh! or Seymour the Scientist from Pokémon). Additionally, she was intended to be a second mentor for Twilight, and well, her only other appearance (excluding flashbacks) is in Swarm of the Century, and that is very brief. In all honesty, if they had picked a different character, this episode would be great, but they didn't and it has to settle for average. Oh yeah, and poison joke. What a deus ex machina.
